In 2009, I was asked by a radio station manager in the Chicago area to create some one-minute inspiration spots. I invested a lot of time and money having the spots produced, and was very satisfied with the end product. I am not sure how many of them were aired prior to the station manager being laid off after the station was acquired by another entity, but I do know I was mad! A good piece of work, a large investment, and no real return. Sound familiar?
Here is the deal with apparent failures. You never know when and how what you did, what you learned and who you worked with, could potential lead to a successful venture.

This and That:
Terrific article on research that proves we are very poor at judging who we will be in 10 years and how our opinions will change. The research is being nicknamed “End of History Illusion” by Harvard researcher Daniel T. Gilbert. Did we fail, or did we have goals that would not serve our future?
Great reminder about “failure.” Took me years to realize that what I considered a “failure” was just a new beginning.
