KISS

KISS – Keep it Simple, Silly!  The months I devoted to TEDxUNLV speaker selection and development were not in vain.  One of the many lessons I was called to ‘remember to remember’ was how keeping a subject simple allows for the greatest access to all listeners.

That simple lesson seems to be the theme I need to learn.  I am about to start an online class facilitated by the author and successful entrepreneur, Trevor Blake, and hosted by The Intelligent Optimist.  The course is called The Physics of Success.  Part of the required reading is The Pilgrimage by Paulo Coelho.  Early in the book the main character is being taught the components of wisdom:

It must be agape (love); it must be practical; and, it has to be a path that can be followed by anyone.

Imagine what your work would look like if it followed those same three components.  Really, that is what I am suggesting you do:  Imagine what your work would look like if it was undertaken with love, it was practical and it could be followed by anyone.

If you want to follow me to Trevor Blake’s class, there is still time:  The Physics of Success
