Men to Men

One of the many beautiful transitions I am noticing – and which I contribute to the stressful economic downturn our country has been experiencing since 2008 – is that men are stepping up in bold ways to get other men into public conversations about how they speak and think – and how to do that more positively.

One example is Noah Blumenthal’s book Be The Hero which I have shared with you many times.

Today I want to share an email that came to my husband from a radio broadcaster in Prescott, AZ, Ken Byer of KPPV 106.7.

To all my Brother’s out there trying to win the battles!
BE THE KIND of MAN THAT WHEN YOUR FEET HIT the FLOOR EACH MORNING, the DEVIL SAYS “Oh Crap, HE’S Up!”

Brother, life is too short to wake up with regrets.

So love the people who treat you right.
Love the ones who don’t, just because you can.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Kiss slowly.
Forgive quickly.
No One ever promised life would be easy. Just that it would be worth it.

Thank you Ken for all your good energy. We miss working with you and all our friends at Arizona’s Hometown Radio Group.

And I am proud to announce that the world’s greatest hotel General Manager, Liz McIntire, is now F&B Director for Poco Diablo Resort in Sedona. Everyone should write her a big congratulation email.

And I will be on AM Arizona tomorrow, Friday, April 9, at 10 a.m. with author and youth program organizer, Larry Tracey, talking about how he turned his life passion for kids and positive self-esteem, into a book —  The Secret of the Can — and national program.
