Amplify and Magnify

In 2009 I wrote a blog about the productive use of social networking in business and personal development.

Several years have passed and I believe it is time to state the obvious.  When using social networking, adult professionals should set an easy to remember guideline:

Only post what you want to amplify and magnify.

Remember, self-control is a cornerstone of emotional intelligence.  Emotional intelligence is a measure of life success.

You can read into this anything you would like.  The Dr. Success challenge this week is easy.  Make note of whatever you thought about my comments above.  Whatever opinion you thought about my opinion, is a clue to an area you may want to examine in yourself — positive or negative.

P.S. You will notice I qualified my statement with “adult professionals”.  I see a lot of things posted by teenagers that would make me, as an employer, plain scared to hire them.  But they are teenagers, and by the time they begin their first adult career I doubt an employer will have the staff to look through 10 years of posts.  However, some ingenious teen may develop a search engine that allows employers to search decades of posts in a nanosecond.  Still think I am right:  only Amplify what you want to Magnify!

Your present thoughts influence your future actions.  That is why it can be said that your thoughts create your future. Thank you.
