Excuses. No one likes getting excuses. Everyone seems to give excuses. And in my business, when you think you are receiving a lot of excuses, it is a cosmic red flag to look at how often you are using excuses for not achieving a goal. Did you get that?
Dr. Success Challenge: Pause for a moment and look back upon the last 7 days in your life. Did you find yourself saying you did not achieve a desired success because you did not have the time; or because you lacked a needed resource such as a strong network; or because you did not have the money; or, my personal favorite, because someone else caused a problem and if they just would have cooperated, you could have achieved your goal?
Now here is the question you really won’t like answering: Did your excuse solve the problem or create an additional challenge to solve? My educated guess is that you not only did NOT achieve your goal or solve a problem, you added frustration to your list of obstacles to overcome before you can achieve the goal or solve the problem.
Some lessons cannot be relearned often enough!
